Check This Guy's Pics Out

I'm glad to see that there are some pictures of my car taken at the meet. I spent a good portion of the day on Friday in town waiting to have an alignment done on the car after Ed and I changed out the tie rod ends and sleeve on Thursday night. Then, on Saturday I had to finish up the safety inspections on the judged cars, that I never got my car to the staged area for the photo shoot. Hopefully others will also come forward with some good shots of the car... thanks Paul

Thats funny Paul, now I know why I saw you riding around ten miles down the road when I went to the mall for some new foot wear. I got a few shots of your nice ride and like you I didn't make the photo shoot, didn't figure out when and where it was until after the fact.

In the way

Paul there you go! Your car was in the way of blocking a nice shot of my 54". Did you notice your rear passenger door on the right side is a slightly different color than the rest of the car?

I know Steve and Steve were working hard to get a "beauty shot" of everyones vehicle in attendance, because they hunted me down days after the official photo shoot day.

I didn't know that you were at the meet until I got home and saw the pictures. I saw some neon in the back of Steve Lichtmans truck, so I incorrectly assumed that you were not coming. Thanks for the pictures.

I noticed this and a lot more. I don't know who, why, or when it was repainted. It definately shows up more in the pictures than it does in person. If my car was blocking a clean shot of your car, then you should have just moved either my car or your car. The keys were in my car on the floor for just this reason. With so many beautiful cars there, I wasn't afraid that someone would steal a Chevrolet.

Mismatched paint halftones are more prevalent in certain natural lights, like dusk for example. Whites/off whites especially are difficult to match. Ron's ambulance reflection is hitting those halftones just right and providing an optical mixing darker than actual difference.

Although I had no intent of attending the meet, a family death put me in Cleveland Saturday. Made it to Hudson for about 90 minutes prior to the banquet before deciding to return for lights & sirens. Sarah, Chase, Ron, and Dan's reactions to seeing me were great! Pleasure meeting some online friends for the first time. Frankly, I was surprised at how many recognized me - and even more so how many expressed gratitude for all of the (mainly) junkyard pics I post.

Heck it was almost worth the trip alone just catching up with Carl! :D

Nah, they would rather steal a Ford.

Attila, I saw you talking to Dwayne, and was meaning to come over and talk to you, but I was in the process of trying to track someone down, and then I couldn't track you down again. Maybe we will get the chance to meet again soon.

Josh

There are a few of us who would be tempted (lol).
Someday I might be able to make a meet. I was nice to see some Chevrolets & Fords in the meet pics.
The Chevys – the ’62 C/B, ’62 Pinner, the '48 Barnett & the '60 Biscayne did my heart good.
Any I might have missed?

Thanks to everyone for all the great pics of the vehicles. Each one is outstanding, regardless of make, model, degree of resto, etc.

You missed mentioning Dwayne's 1964 Chevrolet Biscayne extended wheelbase service car by Pinner Coach Company. It is truly a spectacular car to behold, and a work of art by the Pinner family of craftsman.

Paul,
Thanks for the correction. Actually I didn't miss Dwayne's vehicle but I put in the wrong year ('62 instead of '64). Got the Pinner part right. That car is incredible. If he had not gotten it I was trying to figure out a way to acquire it myself. It is one of the most outstanding Chevrolet pro vehicles I have ever seen. And now to discover that they only made one each year for three years makes it even more special.

Atti,

Thanks for the extra pics. That is greatly appreciated. Glad you could make the meet even for a short time.

Anyone know the story on the '60?

Len picked the Chevy up from another member in Canada who was getting to the age of now being able to use the car any more and needing to sell off assists. you get with him it a interesting story of keeping the car out of the hot rodders grasp. I first say the car in king sport with it's former owner. a check of that issue of the mag will show his name with the car.

That '60 Chev belonged to PCS member Fred Feiser out of PA, not someone in Canada.

I remember that car at the 1993 PCS meet in Chatham.

I haven't seen anything like it since. Nice car !
