Can anyone tell me where I took these??

Ken Novak and I took these photos in 1986 or 1987 at a salvage yard somewhere in north-central Michigan while we were both going to college in Midland, MI. I have no recollection as to the name of the yard. Does anyone know this yard or where it is/was? I assume that the cars have totally rotted into the ground by now if they are still there.

We were hoping to make it back there this summer but haven't found the time working 6 and 7 days a week. The salvage yard is in Harrison, Michigan and is called Fox Brothers. The cars are in pretty rough shape but had some trim, glass, and other miscelllaneous parts that were salvagable. Called today and they still have them and won't part out. Want $2500.00 each. 9am to 5pm 6 days a week if anyone is interested. 1-989-539-7119

I guess that explains why they are still there! That's a lot of money for a really rough parts car. Thanks for the info Rich! It has been so long that I don't even remember how/why we stumbled into that yard.

I just noticed that the gold '63 Superior ambulance doesn't have the license plate bracket mounted in the back door. I thought that all '63 Superiors had the plate in the door??

Regarding the red Superior lettered "GENERAL" on the doors -- does anyone know where that service was located ? Also, can anyone make out the name on the sign panels of the gold Superior ?

General was in Pontiac.

I have a picture around here somewhere of that car in service. It was owned by Clyde Marshbanks, a nursing home/ambulance operator in Pontiac, who also owned Metro Ambulance in Flint for several years.
