Brake Lines

Replacing the brake lines on my Triumph. Yes, I know, it is not a procar, but this process for forming the lines has been working well for me and I will use the same process if / when I need to replace the lines on the 54XL.

Once cut to length and the flanges formed at both ends, I have been zip-tying the new line on top of the old one and used sockets of various sizes to match the various angles of the original lines.

There is a new copper nickle alloy brake line that comes in 25' coils. It is easy to work with and flares are easy also.

What did you use as a sleeve on top of the brake lines?

The Stop Shop 3/16 Spring Wrap for Brake Line - 8 ft. (Gravel Guard)

The above link is for Amazon. Also, shop around for the Copper-Nickel Alloy Non-Magnetic brake line. The last time that I needed some, I found two 25' rolls for $30. Today it is getting more difficult to find the bargains, but they are still out there if you take the time to do the searching. Remember that Goole is your friendly search partner.
