Learned about this coach earlier in the year. Like most other instances, had to wait until in area for viewing. After a few missed connections it happened.
FH has been in business 102 years. Their very large basement houses entire fleet and was chock-full of antiques. '65 Superior Sovereign limo style combination was purchased new and still sees service once or twice a year, on that odd occasion that two services happen at once. She's traveled less than 43k miles in 47 years including ambulance service back in the day. (A Federal 28 still lurks behind grill center.) Still entirely original, boasting a rather smart black crinkle over metallic midnight blue two-tone - each still in excellent shape.
Really wish lighting was better. At least wide angle lens worked in confined space.
Front line hearse was also in FH trademark black over metallic midnight blue, a '95-'96 LT1 Superior with blue leather interior. Peculiar seeing sail panel behind C pillar, then crown after it. Looks slightly busy in that area. Gorgeous coach but hard to top crown placement immediately after windows.
As n.o.t.h.i.n.g in basement is available due to sentimental reasons, I'll forgo a visual tour. Droolable items included early Bomgardner gurneys, multiple deco church trucks, vintage FH signage... One item I'd like to learn more about is this Ziegler case. Only seen aluminum post-WWII previously, not steel, and this shape is different (specifically contoured lid) than I'm familiar with. What vintage is it?
