Back in action, and 9/11 parade.

Sorry to have gone quiet for the last few days, folks. Just to keep my life exciting, I had a heart attack last Monday (a STEMI, for you EMS types). Was back home Friday, in time to pick up my '68 Superior ambulance, Annabelle, from the body shop on Saturday and take her in our 9/ll Memorial Parade on Sunday. (Yes, I took it easy and had a driver!)

Here is a link to the local newscast. Pardon the few seconds of commercial up front. You'll see Annabelle (all white) close to the front of the clip, and the white-haired guy in uniform (white shirt, 5 bars) talking to the FDNY Paramedic Lieutenant, is me.

Cheers,

Doug

Doug, glad you're feeling better, great how they can fix STEMI's quick in the cath lab. And glad you were able to get your ambulance for the 9/11 commemoration.

Well done Doug!

A class act Doug...thanks for doing us all proud! Also glad that you are recovering well. We'll have to catch up on all your adventures (a STEMI...wow!) next time I'm over in the big smoke.

Glad you're back!

Sorry to hear of your recent problems Doug.

Cath labs are terrific these days... 20 years ago, you'd have been in the hospital for a month with a huge zipper over your breast bone!

Take care!

Rick

Good to hear that you were able to get back in the saddle and make the parade. Just don't over work your heart, since they are only good for a predetermined number of beats, and you don't want to wear it out prematurely... It has to last you till you are 100!
