Attempting to locate information

Is there a resource available somewhere that would have owners manuals for old medical equipment? I did a search here and saw a couple of threads where items were discussed but no mention of owners manuals. I have acquired the items shown in the photos. I am curious as to the vintage of these items as well as what equipment may be missing. I did a google search with limited results. Any help would be appreciated. One item is a Laerdal Suction unit and the other is an Emerson Resuscitator model FC:confused2:.

Remember using those suctions in the 70's,noisy units they were, the oxygen kit appears to be something I remember fire depts using in late 60's,remember thou in Ontario we got equipment years later than the USA.:smileflagcan:

Our local volunteer ambulance had a similar suction unit when I started there in 1987. I agree it was noisy but did the job well.

I can tell you that the gray Laerdal suctions were what we were using when I started at the rescue squad in 1980, and they had been around several years, so you can count on mid-70's. They switched to the blue Laerdal suctions in the mid-'80's.

We were also not using any of the suitcase-style resuscitators when I started, so that Emerson was probably '60's. I can check some of my period magazines.

I'm not sure about any "owners' manuals" for any of the old equipment, other than what may be in the equipment. (I do have the instructions for my Choke Saver - basically, reach in, squeeze, and pull out whatever you happen to catch [food, foreign objects, tonsils, the uvula, etc.].)

Suction Unit

Real medics could put those back together in the dark....

We had that on the units in the 70-80's.

Mess to clean up.

I prefer the Ricco disposable bags.....
