Thomas E Westfall - Deceased 1970 - 2017

July 7, 1970 ~ June 10, 2017
I'm heading that way for a few days with a friend to the national institute of health. We will be there for a few days so I'm going to see a few masonic lodges in DC on one of the days. Looks decent on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Ranch

A visit to the Lichtman Ambulance Ranch is always a worthwhile visit. If you like torturing yourself with envy.:p The guy has EVERYTHING!

While you are in D.C. looking at Masonic lodge buildings don't forget the Scottish Rite's House of the Temple on 16th Street, NW. It's amazing! Also, the George Washington Masonic Memorial in nearby Alexandria, Virginia is well worth a look.

And to add to all that…if we can work out things schedule-wise…I can show you a very neat little Masonic lodge building not too far from the Steve Lichtman's place.

Well baring anything catastrophic happening we will be checking out here at 11am so we are guessing we will be at Steve's around noonish.we just got back from DC, but I'm not a big city person. I can't wait get back to brilliant Ohio and its 1100ish people.

Yep, I like my small town life the best, everybody knows everybody. No fakes, what you see is what you get.

if the trailblazer could tow it I would have loved it. Lol I'm. Guessing I can't tow bar it.
Mmmm, probably not. I think you'd need tires that hold air, first. But if you can haul it, you can have it.

Amazing - I put a lot of work, time, and money into my collection of ambulances, and the one he likes best is the rusty parts truck! ;)

Well, seriously, it was great having you by for a visit today. Glad you enjoyed it!

Ugh if I had a trailer I would be so there in a few hours. My wife is taunting me now. It would serve her right if I got it home (insert evil laugh here.) believe me I think the collection is absolutely awesome, but I hopeless for the long shot cars that time seams to have forgotten. To quote Winnie the Pooh "think think think."

Tom,

I'm sorry I missed getting to meet you and the wife. I was still at work when you two visited with Steve. It's certainly one of my favorite places to visit also. By the way, I used to work on an International Travelall ambulance, "back in the day." I always liked it.

I hope you got to visit some nice Masonic lodge halls as you had planned.

Jen and I had the pleasure of seeing the ambulance farm several years ago. We met Randy, and had a great lunch with Steve. We also toured the ambulance collection. Steve was a gracious host. Jen's aunt lives about 45 minutes away so I am looking forward to our next visit.
