Anybody planning on coming to Piqua in May, please read

I've seen photos from past years that show "M&M's entering Piqua". I know the photo was taken with the cars passing under the overpass at the Piqua city limits on I-75 northbound at tghe 80 milepost. I presume you met up at the rest area a mile south of there for the short run up to Piqua.

Now the bad news... those rest areas at the 79 milepost are undergoing a major renovation (the buildings are totally gutted), I seriously doubt they will be complete before next month. If they do to these areas what they've done to the rest, the parking lots/drives will be torn out next.

Just trying to help out, if you planned on making another "photo run".

M-Ms arriving in Piqua

Actually in some of those pictures we were coming from one or another part of the reunion tour. Lunch or a trip to Tom Caserta's coach works or ? Greg would speed ahead in the silver flash (Lincoln) and get a good vantage point to get our picture. How he did not get stopped I have no idea. Must be his boyish charm. Maybe some members did meet at the rest areas to finish the trip into Piqua. Thank you for the warning on the current status of the rest areas. I am sure this wil help some of our members.
This May will be my fourth M-M Reunion. Hope to seel you there.

Good to know. But actually, the pictures of the underpass are on the main road right in front of the hotel (actually, in front of the mall that the hotel is attached to). Those photos are when we leave the hotel as a group and head into town.

I wish I could make it this year, but it's not going to work out. Spring is far too hectic for Dad and I.
