Ambulances Spotted Locally

Over the last week two separate coworkers photographed these two Cadillac Ambulances. The 50s vintage combination is owned by a former coworker and friend. The Criterion is owned by a local ambulance service in Massachusetts. Enjoy.

Thanks for the great pics, Brendan. Beautiful rigs, for sure. I have to say that I'm jealous of folks in communities where these ambulances were part of the local landscape.
In Philly, I don't remember these passenger based ambulances as part of our city fleet or used by private contractors. In fact, I don't remember ever seeing one in person, except on tv etc. From the posts I've read since joining, it seems smaller communities relied on these much more than large urban areas. Maybe it was a cost thing when buying large fleets to service a big city.
Whatever the reason, I love my MM and even in the cynical world of big city Philly it gets a "WOW" everytime.

Brendan, the combo is a 1956 Meteor Cadillac, that I owned for a couple of years. It sure has changed owners quite a lot.
