I use to get my car repaired at this shop.

When I was driving by I saw this Ambulance sitting outside.
It has been there for a few days now.

I will stop by and find out who's it is and drop off a PCS membership form.

I will get some better photos too.
Snapped this one with my camera phone.

Very nice.

I think this has been around a bit. I looked through my pictures and found two that I think are pictures of the same car. The first, from the Northland Chapter website, shows a '75 Superior Cadillac from Rumson, NJ. It may even still be in service in the photo. It has the same light/siren set-up, including the small rear beacons.

The second was from my "collection", probably from an e-bay sale. It's only listed in my file as "Ontario", which makes it quite likely the same car you saw. It's dated October of '09. So it looks like someone is taking care of it.

Darren,

Steve is quite correct on the origins of this car. I posted it's history in a post sometime ago but not sure how to post the link. It was bought in the early 90's by my dad out of New Jersey and brought home to Ontario. He had it for a while and then sold it to Parkview EMS (private special events and movie production EMS service) in Toronto. Evidently it turned up in the last couple years in the Orangeville area painted hot pink. It was for sale for a while on kijiji in the current red and white livery.

I believe that Kyle is correct. That is the car. I saw it when it was pink. That owner also has a number of hearses and one or two Cadillac Station wagons.

Last time I spoke with him he told me that he sold the ambulance to a gentlemen from the area who is a volunteer with Saint John Ambulance.

I know who the guy is who had it when it was pink.
He had it painted red and white and sold it.

That is the guys house with it pictured on the trailer near Aliston.

Small world eh !
