Ambulance DRAG RACE?!?!

Having a blast @ the Goodguys Norwalk 2010 everyone! Todd & I have our ambulances at the show & today they had a "fun run" open to all show participants. Todd & I did a GRUDGE MATCH & the crowd (and announcer) went nuts over our exibition. Sirens screaming the whole way... Todd got OWNED on the 1st pass, I ran a 12.26 ET and Todd returned the favor on the 2nd pass with a 12:30 ET win! It was all in good fun & we had so much fun. The announcer LOVED it & asked us to come back again for the 2nd pass over the PA system... and he said we were the most entertaining runs of the day. Guys... THIS WAS A BLAST we had so much fun! Ok, I'm a big drag racing fan to begin with, but ambulances drag racing? I love it! Dwayne, thanks for sharing the video, looks like you and Todd had a blast.:071::toocool:

Well we ended up at the end of a long row & lots of spectators were laughing about Todd's new "U B ILLIN" license plates & taking pix... so he had one of his old "R U INJRD" plates with him & put it on the Superior & people really got a kick out of it :thumb:

thats to much fun you guys. who says you can get 7000 lb to move fast.

Ed... it was too much fun! The officials in the staging lanes asked us to make the full runs will all lights on... and the EMS ambulance on-duty provoked us to use our sirens full track. They brought their ambulance around later to see the classic ambos up close

Very cool!! Its always fun to make a scene with the cars. Thats why i like driving my rolling freak shows, "as i like to call them":thumbsup:

Figured you'd like the video Rocky. Saturday started out gloomy & it got worse from there, total wash out in the afternoon. The grounds were abuzz though... we had people all day come over to the ambulances & say they wanted to see them make another pass... and enthusiastic "You guys made my day that was SO cool!!!" comments. Good times.
We'd heard rumors all weekend that the Goodguys rod & custom assn. are pulling out of this show/drags next year. Hopefully it's just a rumor
 
goodguys pulled out of two diffrent event venues here in wisconsin. the one in madison it rained friday- and saturday am and they did not even send the staff back to the park, and left people just hanging.
