Already had a bunch of fun in Flint !

Well today Digger and I left Toronto heading West along Hwy 401, then 402 crossing into the US at Sarnia/Port Huron with dry roads and sunny sky's.

The lady at the boarder was a pain in the rear end but no issues so smooth sailing after her.

The first thing I have to do after getting into Port Huron is going to Jimmy John's for a #4 (Turkey Tom Sub), a bag of JJ salt and vinegar chips and a drink. Yummy and fills your tummy !

We picked up vault supplies for their company, Baker Vaults and headed West once again for Flint MI !

This is always a favorite first PCS meet of the year for me and I love coming down for the shopping, Olive Garden, Jimmy John's, sometimes OutBack Steakhouse and most importantly... my friends in Flint, Swartz Creek and surrounding areas.

I met up with Niagara Falls area PCS member and friend, Joe Van Volkenburg, and headed over to the Olive Garden for dinner with local area PCS member and friend, Brad Ross. Brad was driving his year-around 1966 Chev Corvair.
The only old car I have seen on the road for many months now.

Dinner was very filling and our waitress Michelle was awesome. It didn't take much to get a extra dozen chocolate mints either !

Good food, good friends and a fun time catching up.

A visit to Target, Meijer, Toys R Us rounded out the evening.

It was like Christmas time back at the hotel. I had quite a few ebay items shipped to Brad's place knowing I was coming down for the micro-meet.
Opening them up was like a kid on Christmas morning.

A 1939 Burial Vault calender from Ohio. A '30s Superior matchbook cover. A burial vault company matchbook cover from Ohio. 8 HO train set type ProCars. A famous book on surfing. Etc...

Can't wait for day two, Friday, for the hobby shop and antique shop hunting after a fantastic Wingate breakfast !!!

More updates tomorrow... with photos too !

Woooohoooo,
Darren

P.S. We did pass Walt and Tom with another gentleman in the back of their vehicle but were heading in different directions at the time. There will be lots of time for visiting friends but I know this week-end will fly by ! It always does with fun times !!!

Had a great time again in Flint. As always, Brady goes above and beyond doing an outstanding job in that garage we all envy. Thanks to the Michigan Chapters. It is always great to see old friends.
