Kandy is a staunch NasCar fan so we watched the race today. after wards I went out to try out the new sample of super glue I got. been thinking that I should use Dan's formula and put the top on the 67 back to black. it was painted Gold during a repaint of the car. I mean I had this half of a can of semi gloss black and all.

about half way threw you know around the no stopping place the temp dropped to around 40 as the sun set. I could barely feel my hands but it's black now.

That looks like 1969 Cadillac inner fender panel black.... :D

it's a wrinkle 1/2 top on the car. when they did the repaint they painted it gold with lacquer. the top is suffering the fate of the Krinkle tops left in the sun. and coming off at the edges as seen around the back glass. so it must come off an they have already sanded off the heavy texture meantime it's a good occasion to test the color combination.

the Krinkle tops are a very porous paint once the chemical action takes place. part of their good looks and there down fall. the key to maintaining one and still keep the appearance has eluded most of us for years. Dan H came up with the rustoleum thinned with acetone applied with a brush. I have not had a car I could try it one till this one. just should have started earlier in the day.
