Accubuilt DHS

To confuse matters, that actually is a DES. Its just a stretch on a Deville DHS base unit. DHS was GMS abbreviation for "Deville High Luxury Sedan," formerly know as the d'Elegance. I have seen several of these DES units on both base Deville and DHS chassis as well as one DTS. They made a few hundred each year.

So people would buy the car then get them stretched? Or did accubuilt just stretch and sell? What was the cost to do this? I only bought this car so I can really stretch out. Its missing the footrests and rear table, do you think accubuilt has any laying around?

The footrests, tables, and a flip down monitor were all options. If Accubuilt doesnt have the tables, a limo supplier like MTG or Infinite Innovations should. The footrests would probably have to be custom made but it should not be too difficult to make some carpet covered wedges like in a Rolls Royce or Bentley.

Here are some photos that I took in 2007 at Accubuilt during the Miller-Meteor Reunion that year of a DES and a Chrysler 300 6" stretch. The first two are of a Cadillac DES and the last is a Chrysler 300 along with a 300 interior shot on the back lot at Accubuilt. Superior/S&S started this type of conversion in 1997/98 on Cadillac DeVille's calling them Fleetwood Limited's.
