A tease

Windshield cracked, bumpers rusted/bent/indented, plexiglass window on rear driver side, headliner and driver floor pan shot, plenty of body work needed, skirts missing, shredded tires, exhaust shot, many chrome trim pieces missing, water damaged/warped flooring but she did turn over and the interior is decent shape. Pics forthcoming.

Is it possible for regular people to get avgas?

James,

Not sure what a REGULAR person is ...but....

YES,anyone can buy AV fuel.....if you have a small regional airport near you..that would be the best place....I go about every other month and purchase fuel at Sac Executive Airport.... they will even sell you 55gal drums if your so inclined...no big deal....

Why AV fuel ?

Just because the sticker is there doesn't mean it's correct. From what I observed, it seemed like a stock 1970 Olds 455 engine. Why would/should it require 99 octane ? There appeared nothing special about this car just an ordinary 1970 Olds 98 ambulance. I've owned a '67 Olds 98 and she did just fine with Supreme 93 Octane.
