A few interesting things that happened today

First, I got the car back from the shop. Got a new fuel pump and some tuning up done, result; the car runs 100% better.

As some of you know, my 67 Superior started its career at the Chalk River Nuclear Power plant. The old pictures of the car I have in my album came from the plant’s archives.

This morning I thought I’d give the plant’s fire hall a call to see if they had some pictures or other information about the car. The gentlemen that answered the phone has been a firefighter at the plant for 30 years and actually remember working with the car. There is also another firefighter that has been there for as long as him, and they will have a look to see if they can find any old pictures or other memorabilia for me.

Finally, on my way out from work, I stopped at the gas station. As usual, a few folks stopped by to comment about the car, and one in particular guy said that he used to have a 67 Bonneville or Parisienne. The neat part is that when he got rid of the car, he kept a number of parts such as the bumpers and other parts. He gave me his contact information and offered me the parts at a good price if I am interested. I’ll definitively go check it out next week.

I don't know the physical differances between the 1967 Bonneville and the Parisienne, however, I do know that the Parisienne was built on a Chevrolet platform with a Chevrolet running gear, and was only available in Canada. When you go to look at the parts, take the car and do a physical comparison to make sure that they will fit your car.

You are correct Paul. We had the Parisienne, Grand Parisienne, Laurentian that looked like the Bonneville and Catalina, but that were built on a Chevrolet platform.

I think that the fronts may have been the same, but i am not 100% sure. I'll find out next week.
