'96 S&S Victoria in NY

His ad says the car has the "big corvette engine," but wouldn't this be a FWD Cadillac, making it more likely to be the Northstar? He may be right about the damage being cosmetic only, and since it looks like it is limited to the front end, I suppose it could be repaired using the front clip from a standard Cadillac... but I don't see a lot of value in dropping $4500-10,000 on a car that needs its front end rebuilt, especially if the owner is talking out of his bottom quarters as to what the car is and what it has under the hood. (I hope it's not a fellow site member's car.)

This car has some serious damage. If you look at the body line between the door and the fender on the curb side you can see the body is up and into the door. That indicates right rail damage. No interior photos but given the damage the air bag on the steering wheel should have gone off. Sad to say given the color its too far gone.

There was a Black '96 for sale for 2500.00 WITHOUT any damage in IL a few weeks back ready to drive.

Not sure where he got the pricing from.
If he took the whole car apart and listed items on ebay he may get that money
but he sure would spent a lot of time doing so.

Replacing the front clip, repairing and repainting would cost more than the car is worth. A parts car now.

A 91 to 96 Caprice cop car is the same frame wise I fixed 100s of them. This coach while way overpriced is not a fix problem its a nut and bolt job. The hit is a common over the frame hit causing the right feinder to slide under right door lip. From the poor pictures it looks like left fender OK. Windshield is at periil on the right corner the hood when opened due to fender being back may break windshield at lower right corner.(happened on many Caprices) an expensive mistake in this case due to commercial glass. This looks like an unusual color very nice coach although due to location one has to wonder about rust underside. The $1500.00 figure sounds about right to me. I have most parts for repair in the yard. Certainly a head turner when fixed. The owner will sooner or later get real.

standard deer hit may only need hood and front tips of the fenders repaired the plastic replaced. but it's a look at it and see thing. now the fenders are steel on these and plastic on the standard caddy. but if you can't buy it for retail less the price of the repair it always a pass. a good buy is wholesale less the price of the repair. the salvage buy back on this one was probably less than a grand

The only thing that makes this coach special is the fact that it is a commercial glass Victoria and it's an unusual color. If not for those 2 things, I would only consider this coach a parts car. As mentioned, the standard glass S&S/Superior coaches can readily be had for $2500 in good condition.

I know the owners of this coach very well. Local funeral home in Niagara Falls. their cars are always very well maintained. I did many removals for this firm starting way back in 1967. third generation to operate this funeral home.
Good people with a sterling reputation in the community.
Sooner or later they will come down in price. As far back as i can remember their coaches have always been Green.
I would be glad to look at this coach for anyone that is interested.
