we had a few places where the top was showing rut off the framework. so to clean this up we need to pull the surround trim. they used the camper special vinyl filler strip to cover the screws. At almost 50 years old they were shrunk up and not looking good. that size is not available at any camper place I have found only wider. so now what polish and let it go just doesn't look right so we tried some of the water base bed liner. I have used it on the rear steps before and it works well as a non-skid. so here is the final look. I used an acid brush to dab it on so it has some texture. I didn't try for a big build-up just went for the cover-up. with it being water base if you are shaky you just wipe it off. you just got to do it right away because when it sets up it's not coming off easily.
