'58 Superior Combo.... Camper

very amusing to see some peoples description of their cars.. this one is a 500 buck car/camper but it has that vary rare radio delete. some most likely got tired of fixing the top tank on the radiator. these conversions hold a mild interest to me. but not enough to but the money back into this one. I could use that grill though.

If it were closer, more complete, and better priced, I might consider it. Too many parts are missing to even consider it as a parts car. Good chance that the engine, transmission, brakes, will need a complete rebuild. The most valuable part of that car is the front group, and that is probably only worth about $1000 - $1500. You could easily spend $10,000 - $15,000 just to make it roadworthy, and then you still need to completely rebuild the camper end, which could be just about as much money, so after you spend $20,000 = $25,000, you still have a vehicle that is only worth about $10,000 - $15,000 at best.

Did Superior offer a "Moderne" trim option in 1958? The body side moldings look to be factory installed.

Additional side molding came off an S&S. I first visited this conversion in '09, when price was $1800 missing headlight nacelles. With a jump pack while spritzing gas, she ran quickly. Has sold since.

Obviously the perfect home for this would be someone who actually wanted a Caddy house car and not as a parts vehicle. For every 20 I've stumbled across in yards over the years, there is 1 that may be roadworthy. Is what it is~
