57 MM Ambulance

Rick Duffy

PCS Past President 2010 - 2012
Hi!

I was wondering if anyone can help me with some information related to Captain Video's '57 MM AMbulance.

When I brought the car back to Pittsburgh 2 years ago, the water-pump was leaking. A friend ( mechanic?) removed the Radiator and water pump... both of which were re-done.

I finally got the car to a reputable shop and low ad behold... no fittings for the water pump!

There are 3 holes and 4 lines... evidently one for a rear heater? No one remembers whether thaere was a T or Y connection coming from the 7:00 port on the pump.

At the moment, I'm dead in the waterpump as the old mechanic can't find the fittings... and the new shop isn't sure how this was done... wanting too do it correctly.

Any help would be appreciated!

Over and out!

i'm a firm believer in taking pictures before that way you can look at halve a dozen shots that all most show what you want to see. it has been my experance on the heaters that only one is returned to the water pump. the Y would be in the hose it's self for the return from the rear heater. can't say why you have so many holes in that one.

57 ambulance

Rick, I have a 57 Eureka ambulance----should be the same. Will get over to the storage shed this weekend and let you know what mine looks like.

Virgle!

You're the best! I really appreciate you checking this for me.

If you have a digital camera... that might be of great help as well.

Many many thanks!:thankyou2:

Still dead in the WATER... PUMP!

Hi Again,

Stopped by the shop to see if any progress had been made on the "57 MM Ambulance.

Unfortunately, nothing has been done and so far, the guy who sismantles the waterpump 2 years ago... cannot find the fittings.

If anyone remembers how the lines hooked up or whether there was a T or Y connector for 4th hose, please advise!

Pictures would be helpful too!

Any help would be appreciated!

Rick
