'54 Pontiac Ambulance in K.C.

Interesting that the car was clearly built as an ambulance but doesn't have a medical cabinet. I'm not sure I've seen a single rear tunnel light light like that before either on a Superior.
 
Would be quite the looker if repainted its original color combination and factory skirts put on it!!
 
the superior pontiac had a steel removable cabinet in them. the reason for that was if the car was kept outside or in a unheated garage, you could take it out and bring it inside to keep things from freezing. get a call grab it on your way out place it in the car wit it's quick fasteners and be on your way.

even the low end cars tried to make there's more desireable
 
I thought that it looked like there was a "ghost" on the vinyl divider material where a cabinet may have been.
