Description​

1953 PACKARD HENNEY JUNIOR AMBULANCE COMBINATION CAR
Original car, grey with red interior; one of 180 produced for general public in 1953
Original paint, interior, floor mats, hub caps…… Mileage 61728 miles
Model 2633, vin 2633 2261 with original 1953 ownership
Appraisal in 2009 describes it as a very rare car
In service Missouri 1953- 1971, storage 1972 – 2004; Ontario 2004 to date
Engine.. 288 flat head 8 cylinder, changed in 2004, runs good but needs a tuneup; 6 volt with some
wiring replaced
Suffered body damage to both rear quarter panels back in 1971 but was not repaired. There is NO rust
Not winter driven, no rust except small hole in both rocker panels
Glass good—aged
Tires new, 400 miles ; original molds, bias ply
Upholstery and headliner original and very good (exceptional for its age)
Chrome and nickel 1973 quality
Manual 3 on tree and differential good
Brakes good
Siren works
Many small parts, service manuals, model car, owners manual

Proper style Baumgardner stretcher, O2 brackets and new casket table. Window grills and curtains
This car originally belonged to “The Canada Funeral Home” and so has CANADA script on both sides

One would have to do conversion table to see if its resenable. But fore the big bucks I would think getting the body damage repaired be best. But others are into origional dents.
 
Sharp looking little vehicle in spite of the big dents. Another reason to put some form of side mirrors on.

Nicely equipped except for the oxygen tank, valve and demand valve that are from the 80's.
 
Not cheap, but remember it is in Cdn. dollars. Just under $22k US. If the mechanicals are as solid as the interior looks, this could be a good long term coach for someone.
