425 ticking

I'm getting ready to sell some cars, including my 1977 Coupe DeVille. It's been in the garage for the last 8 months and now has a ticking under load. Gas had Stay-bil, battery is fine etc and the car starts on the first turn, but when it's in gear, there is an audible ticking that is loudest roughly around 2-2500 rpm. No noise whatsoever when idling. Any ideas? I'm not asking much for the car, but I'd feel wrong selling something that isn't right. There are no other changes - doesn't seem like any power loss, etc although I just tootle around town.

Sticking valve lifter is my thoughts. Change the oil and add a can of ATF or Sea Foam. The car needs to be driven to loosen up this sludge build up.

drive it. it just know you selling it and is mad at you. they wee not knowen for push rod problems like the earler one was. if it is a sticky lifter it should come out with Paul's fix.
