3 way vrs. endloader value

On a typical mid 70s car, about would be the difference in price from a working 3 way manual table vrs. an end loader? This is just a general opinion, nothing specific.

If you flip through Tom McPherson's black book, "American Funeral Cars & Ambulances Since 1900", you will get a really good feel for pricing. That book is a "must have" for anyone even remotely interested in pro cars. They are out of print and pricey, but findable. I have owned one since around 1978. I buy them whenever I find them in antique malls, etc.

If you had a endloader and 3way both in exactly the same condition
I think a couple thousand could be asked more for a 3way than a endloader.

If you had a nice endloader and a not so nice 3way, I would rather have the endloader.

I personally love 3way hearses vs endloaders. I have 2 3ways and love the open feeling without the wall.

I have a couple endloaders that are fantastic as well so in the end...

everything is based on condition.

@ Atti, no I was just wondering the difference in value basically between My 72 endloader and the 75 3 way. Assuming They were in about the same condition, how much more the 3 way option added. Just saying if I thought the 72 was at $2500, the 3 way version would be in the $4500. range.

I, personally, don't think that there would be a big difference in value today on 2 identical coaches in identical condition. I own a 3-way and personnly think that an end-loader or extend table would be a far more usable vehicle. I like the openness of the 3-way, but the table is going to get in the way if you ever want to use it for anything. That is why so many tables got pitched after they were taken out of service.
