1992 Superior Six Door Limo Arrived!

I am happy to say that the 1992 Superior six door limo arrived today. It is truly a gorgeous car, just as Paul Yates described in the post he put in the "For Sale" section. The pictures posted there showed a dusty, but nice limo. After watching it for several weeks, I decided to buy it. Although I was really looking for an ambulance, or combination. But, I bought it with the idea that perhaps I could trade it for a "more interesting" procar.

Enter Ed Renstrom into the picture. He and I worked out a deal where I wound up with his 1968 Miller Meteor Duplex. Needless to say, I was excited. The 68 arrived earlier this week and it is exactly as Ed described it. The car runs like a dream! It needs minor TLC, some rust repair and paint, but it should turn out fabulous! My wife and I love 68 Cadillacs and we once owned a similar 68 Miller Meteor Duplex about thirty two years ago. So we are excited and delighted!

Now remember, this whole deal was done and neither of us has seen, or touched the limo. It got a bit stressful when we found difficulty shipping the limo, due to it's location. Anyway, I had a trucker I have used before, go down yesterday and pick it up. I was very happy when it arrived at my house today. We put in a new battery and she fired right up and purrs like a kitten. I called Ed and gave him the good news. Then I gave it a quick bath and took a couple of pix. Truth is, if I had the limo delivered to me before I traded, It should be a nice addition to The Renstrom Collection.

I would like to thank Paul Yates for posting the limo for his friend. And a huge thank you to Ed Renstrom for trading with us and giving us the opportunity to own a wonderful 1968 Miller Meteor Classic Duplex. Thanks a million guys!

You Are Correct James!

Unfortunately, I am having trouble uploading pictures. Hopefully we can figure it out.

now to get it home. I think we have a lead. on that. I'm going to miss the Miller but I could see it was going to be some time before I could give it the proper treatment. we'll see if we can get more the 100 miles a year on this one. here is the pictures Bill sent me and one of the 68 he now has

From Kansas to Minnesota to South Dakota to New Jersey...the Wasinger '68 is making the rounds. It's a great car; I hope you enjoy it for a long time, Bill.

Thanks Tony! It seems that you and I love the 68s, I had one before and you had a few and still have. Lucille and I are very happy to own this 68 Miller Meteor. We hope to have it repainted over the next year, or so. We sre definately going to show this one with pride.

Bob has informed me the car is in Ohio right now some were along 80 I'll not say more as there are people in Ohio I know about. Bill left me a note saying that the car left his place at 0630. Bob told me he picked it up at 0730. nice to know I'm not the only one that doesn't change his watch. Bill, be thankfully he wasn't from Mountain time. thanks for hanging onto it till we could get it out of there.

My pleasure Ed! I am glad that we should all be happy, it seems like a good deal all the way around. We love the 68! Hopefully, you will love the limo, it is a beauty! Thank you for the deal!

This is a perfect example of our group. Many of us may never meet in person but as a group who share the same Hobby things work out.

We all know Danny Ryder and his operation. If I were in the market I'd never second guess an acquisition from his firm. :D

THanks for the vote of confidence David. I even helped Bill get his hearse from Ed along with Paul getting his car back. Love the PCS and enjoy being involved with these neat cars.

will today it made it to it's new home. looked it over found a number of surprises. I hope there is no fine for forced transportation of mice. quite a nest started in the trunk but it looks as if they have vacated the housing development. I will say the 92 350 is a lot nicer then the 89 I had with the 307. you forget how long the Brougham body 6 door is, it's a good two ft longer then the 58 Eureka we parked it next to.

now for the conflicting part. I can't guess what tire size it is sub post to have. GM states only 6 passengers and 235 ex tires. superior says 9 and 225's. both tagged on the drivers door with the superior date and paint code tag in between. don't you just love a new car. by the way the 89 Collins had the 225s but they wanted you to put 36 psi in them.
