For anyone searching for what appears to be a nice, clean FWD professional car here's one. This is a 1988 Eureka-Buick Premier Landaulet. Looks original -paint and all, low mileage and at a realistic price as well. Here's what the seller says about it:

1988 Buick LeSabre Hearse

This has got to be one of the Rarest Hearses produced! Extremely well cared for mechanically and cosmetically, Only 51,830 Actual Miles!!! V6 3800 Engine and front wheel drive! Automatic, power steering and brakes, Air Conditioning, power windows, nice newer white wall tires, Factory tilt hood! (how cool is that!?) Ready to be put back into service immediately, You'll have no complaints about the quality of the ride in this little Buick! $4,950

Other than the "it has to be one or the rarest hearses ever produced" statment, it looks like a very nice car. I really like the FWD Eureka Buick. I also like the way the hoods on these opened. Just hope you never need a windshield for one, they are not the same used in other commercial chassis cars, Eureka had them made just for the FWD Buicks and Oldsmobiles.

Just as with the Eureka rear-wheel drive cars, the FWD Eureka Cadillacs, Buicks and Oldsmobiles all shared the same windshields and side door glass. According to Tom, this sharing of glass and components made it economically viable to offer Buick and Oldsmobile coaches in addition to Cadiillacs just as they had used the same windshields and door glass on all RWD Cadillacs, Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs and Chevrolets. Accubuilt sipposedly bought the Eureka parts inventory with the name. You gotta wonder what ever happened to all the glass Eureka had at the time.

Not true, FWD used a different windshield! We tried, it didn't work!

Larry you obviously didn't read the post correctly or I worded it in a confusing manner. So, I checked what I had posted. I can assure you that what I said was absolutely correct and directly from the man himself - Tom McPherson - who bristled at your comments. He designed these cars... so he should know better that anyone else. So..here we go again and I'll attempt to make it clear and simple:

1. The windshield AND side glass for all FWD Eureka professional cars was made expressly for them and the same glass was used for all FWD Cadillac, Buick and Oldsmobile coaches.

2.The RWD Eurekas used the standard Cadillac commercial windshield (the same windshield as was used by Superior and Miller-Meteor and S&S from 1977 through 1984) but, the side door glass was made expressly for them (this was based on the LOF tooling originally made for the 1977 Miller-Meteors and purchased by Eureka). This Cadilllac commercial windshield and exclusive side glass was shared by all RWD Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Chevrolet funeral cars.

Don't believe me.....ask him yourself.
