Of the 30 ambulances that Superior manufactured from 1977 to 1979 I only know of 11 of them that have survived based on information on the Northland PCS Website. I know of the following 11 cars. Does anyone know of the whereabouts of the the 18 ambulances not accounted for??? I assume that the one that went to Saudi Arabia is still there, so I didn't include it in the final count of missing units. I find it amazing that the only picture of the entire production run that isn't on the Northland PCS Website is of unit #4. I thank them for providing the information to do this research and also for great archive service to the PCS Members.

Jim Ireland...

I was told #2 was sent to the junkyard, and I assume crushed due to rust/rot.

I have #17.

Does this include the one in the eBay ambo lot not to long ago? It was a 77 Superior Transport if I am remembering correctly.

I have I guess #19 78 Dundee FD I traded a 76 Olds to Denny Shira for it at least 20 years ago. and as far as I know #29 79 next to last one from Subelet County Hospital in Colorado. Paul I think you saw both rigs when you were here.

Also a link to the pictures would be appreciated.
The Northland PCS Website no longer exists, and I have no idea if any of the pictures that were in it, were captured and preserved in any of our members computer files. It was a great searchable website with over 1000 pictures on it.

Don't forget the McAlester, OK F.D.'s '79 model. I think it was the next to last one built. In any case; I searched for photos it--that I posted--on this site (McAlester, mcalester, loftin, classy cadillacs, etc.) and got no results.

I found a shot by scrolling a little::McAlester 79 SC.jpg

I'm guessing that the McAlester car was #28.
