I am changing the format of the listing of these ambulances to show the original owner of the vehicle. After that will be who owned it in succession. If you can help fill in the missing information or correct any of the information below, please post to this thread only and it will be reviewed and updated. If you have pictures of one of these cars, please post them along with all the information that you have for that car. Since almost all of these cars were built differently from each other, even an unidentified picture will be a big help, because someone else might know more about it. As I have time and more information I will start a separate thread for each one of the 30 cars along with all the pictures of the car as it traveled through its ownerships whenever possible. I have a feeling that many of the owners' names as listed below might not be correct for the car that they own. A picture of the Superior Coach data plate that is riveted to the front left inner panel will help to ID your car in this database. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

As a side note 1977 #734 OWNER of Physicians Ambulance would be Kent Rogne....just a FYI if you need it.

I recently received the following information from Jon Wurm via Dr. White. Reprinted with permission.

Cheesequake , PA Car. Still owned by Mike Baruzza’s family although not sure of status after his untimely death last year.

Neshoba County Hospital Car. Purchased by PCS member Earl Wendt in IL many years ago and painted red/white. Uncertainty of current ownership after his death last year.

Lord Funeral Home Car. Ossipee, NH. Sold to Memorial Invalid Coach in Buffalo, NY and used as transport rig. Later sold to Brian Schuff in Winnipeg, Canada. Car was extremely rusty especially after use in Buffalo, New York. Car was eventually parted out and junked.

Drumheller Ambulance Srvc. Purchased by John Ringdahl in Fergus Falls, MN through his ambulance dealership where it was used for a few years as a transfer vehicle and subsequently sold to F-M Ambulance in Fargo, ND. Later sold to Cahill Ambulance in Sisseston, SD. and then sold to Brian Schuff in Canada. Unknown if still currently owned by him.

Park River, ND Ambulance Service Car. Traded into Ringdahl Ambulance in Fergus Falls and used by them a few years as transport vehicle. Later sold to Robert Hess in Sparta, WI. Owner of Sparta Area Ambulance Service. He repainted the original orange stripe to light blue and used for public relations and parades. Still currently owned by him.

Stettler, Alberta, Canada Car. Sold to Healy, Alaska Volunteer Fire Dept. who used it several years. Purchased by Paul Steinberg who had it transported to MA and still currently owned by him.

Volunteer Medical Service Corps. Narberth, PA Car. Car purchased by Carl Woerner. Sold to several different owners over the years. Repainted all white. Recently listed for sale within the last two months in the southeastern part of U. S.

Ashland, OH Car. Owned by Carl Woerner in Ohio before being resold to a gentleman in CA where it’s still located. Unknown current ownership.

Winkler, Manitoba, Canada Car. Sold to Terry Lange who owned it several years before selling to Vase Ambulance Service in Rock Spring, Wyoming. Repainted to red/white from original white/yellow. Unknown current ownership.

Marlton First Aid Squad in New Jersey. Purchased directly from squad many years ago by a PCS member from North Carolina who retains current ownership.

Lower Allen Fire Co., Pennsylvania Car. Purchased by Carl Woerner and eventually sold to PCS member Patrick Spivey in TN. Later sold to PCS member Jamie Boles in NC who may still have ownership.

Twin W First Aid Squad, West Windsor, NJ Car. Owned by squad until 2013 when squad was disbanded. Car eventually donated to local historical society where it’s displayed in museum.

Sablett County Hospital Car, Pinedale, WY Car. Sold to Fred McPeck in Denver, CO. Later sold to PCS member Eric Schlieter in Iowa who in turn sold to PCS member Pete Grave in PA. Unfortunately parked it outside at his salvage yard where it remains to this day deteriorating.

McAlester, OK Fire Dept. Car. Sold to a C. Ray Smith in Tulsa (?). Car was dismantled and going to be restored. Was listed on an auction site several years ago in the dismantled state and presumably sold. Steve Loftin may actually know the current status.
