The 1975 and 1976 Superior Sovereign Regal featured a small coachwindow where the landau shield traditionally was located. Surprisingly, this window was plastic - not glass. The Regal was available in the same selection of service configurations as the Sovereign landaulet - end-loading funeral car, combination coach or as a three-way funeral car. In addition, Regal end-loading funeral cars were available with Superior's optional extension or pull-out table. According to McPherson, Superior built, sold and delivered 62 Cadillac combination cars in 1976 but, unfortunately, the information given him by Superior didn't break down the individual service configurations by model. UN 1976, Superior built 636 Cadillac professional cars. Of these, 94 were three-ways, 348 were straight end-loading funeral cars, 62 were combinations, 18 were flower cars and 114 were ambulances. There are quite a few photos of Sovereign Regals in the Superior book along with all of the history of this model and even a close-up of the special coach window.
