1969 Cadillac S&S hearse - $6000 (Hardinsburg)

If you look closely at the side of the vehicle there appears to be some evidence of body work. Some bubbles in the paint above the windshield...the seller included a pic of it. The interior is pretty clean. The curtains do not appear to be original; what else has been changed?

Thank you

Hard to tell if the front seat is original as it has been re-upholstered. Tilt could very well be original. Well equipped coach w/power windows. Power windows seem to be more common on S&S coaches.

lost the air cleaner and put in a hei distributer. got good rubber on it, but they have lost the wheels and caps his description of condition good. you get to looking at the pictures and it would appear to me that there is a lot of rust bubbles. indication that maybe some one put a layer of body filler over the rust and painted it. but it is a running car with working table and a decent interior. something funky with the over lays on the passengers side of the dash. now he shows the bubbles on the top over the windshield and you can see them on the rear door how much is threw the normal places for the S&S one can't say. but at 6 and transportation one may be over the top before you start. this one is a, best look at it car. if your thinking about getting one. the best bet is to fly out and look it over good. the man may still have the stuff he took off.

I've known this car for 30 years. 73 coupe seat, mildly warmed over 472 (the 2nd owner was a 472 magician, he did a few for me) partial custom interior and drapes. Oddly enough I just reconnected with the friend that customized the interior after loosing touch for 20 years. All in all this car was a mild custom, the wheels are a recent addition. Typical rust from under the cobra top which was addressed 25 years ago but the car has sat outside for a number of years now through a myriad of owners since the PCS member's passing. Other than Scully's ya just don't see many S&S 3ways. The tilt columns were not standard in any coachbulder in 69 or any other years till the 80's. Power windows at least in 69 were whatcha got for paying more to own an S&S. :p

S&S made there own seats I think up to 70? Here is a pic from the 69 I had .

Yes Dan as you mentioned S&S did make their own seats through 1970 and I love them. You sat high and could see rather than Superior and MM which used the crappy Chevy seats which left you feel like you were sitting on the floorboard.
