From a friend in Virginia:

"I spoke to the Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad (Loudoun County) Chief not long ago and learned that the department is looking to find a 1963 Cadillac/Miller ambulance. They have an interest in finding a similar Cadillac and making it into a historic ambulance for the department. He told me he has searched but has found nothing.

I thought I would check with you to see if you might have any ideas. Can these still be found?

I have attached the photo. Sterling purchased the Cadillac from McLean, Virginia in Fairfax County."

For now, they are interested in a '63 M-M lowtop in restorable condition. They are not interested in a combination to convert.

They understand that these are far and few between, if any are available at all.

Know if there is any wiggle room in requirement Steve - as in '63 48" or '64 42"? There is a rough '63 48" in a VA junkyard. Then there is the rough '63 Ambulandau Kurt posted current pics of that you shot 20 years ago. What was that original white/orange MM ambulance with a stuck transmission available for a few years in AZ or NV? It was tightly placed behind a residence with cinder block walls around; a '60, '63, or '64 - been too long to recall.

And I haven't a clue what/where I saved this '63 from. Maybe someone here will recognize it.

Will check notes and other folders for any additional.

I have my 63 M&M combo I am finishing up on the resto. Its at the stage where the back end has a new floor, but they can finish it as they choose.

If they want to fix one up, they will spend a consideral amount more than the purchase price I am asking.
