1962 Chrysler Newport combo

Most likely a Richard Bros., although the roofline looks oddly different than the '61 Richard Bros. New Yorker that I had.

You will spend the rest of your life looking for that back door glass. I was fortunate in that my '61 still had its rear door glass.

Glass

You will spend the rest of your life looking for that back door glass. I was fortunate in that my '61 still had its rear door glass.

Since the only made a few of these ,you would think it was standard piece from something. Of course the big question is what it is?

Back door and glass on '61 Richard Bros. The back doors on Richards Bros. with side hinge configuration were fiberglass.

I am changing my opinion on this one. I would say that it is not a Richard Bros. I was not aware of anyone else using the Chrysler hardtop staion wagons as the base for a conversion in those years.

If you look at the rear door picture poor as it is the handle and lock look GM. Could be the glass from the curve and shape is another pro car maker bought either from a salvage yard perhaps the whole door even came from a yard. This could be a home brew from a body shop made as a one off.

The correct name for the instrument cluster on all of the '60 thru '62 Chryslers. per Chrysler marketing, is the "Astra Dome".

the only rear view I have is a 68 national hight top on a Dodge. it has a door open so not a lot of help in that one. National was big on tagging there stuff so it if is one inside the center right door will be a national tag.
