1959 differential bearings

Hi folks!

A friend is working on his 1959 Cadillac differential and needs to order the rear bearings. Does the parts in Superior combinations are regular series 75 bearings ?
 
He should get it opened up, and then see what the part numbers are on the bearings. That is the best way to know exactly what was used back then. Some of these old bearings are obsolete, so you have to do a lot of looking to find them today.
 
Noramily the heavy duty Cadillac parts were used. But dont bet the farm on it year for year thay can be anything. Best to take it apart get the numbers. Go to a bearing shop or run the numbers on E bay. There are a lot of people selling nos obsolete parts there. But you have to know the numbers to get it right. As the majority of sellers have no ida for sure what they are selling
