1954-56 Superior beau Mondes

I was wondering if anyone has pics or info an any 54-56 Beau Mondes? Bernie DeWinter had determined that less than 20 were built from 54-56. I know of 3 that exist today, all 56's. There is the nice one still in service in Colombia, The Blue combo that was on ebay a couple of years ago that I am told went to Australia eventually, and my 56 Combo. Mine was originally delivered to a funeral home in Greencastle, IN and appears to have been Black with a white top and a turquoise and silver interior. I am told there was a 56 spotted in a salvage yard in CO many years ago as well. Mine is rough but all there and hopefully will be a nice companion to my 1956 Fleetwood 75 by Derham when completed.

Jim, nice to see you on here. I had heard through the grapevine that you were contemplating selling. A Beau Monde is one of just two coaches remaining on my wish list... ;)

The one you mentioned that went to Australia belonged to Dwayne Velasquez in CO. He had purchased it about a year earlier (NC or SC, can't recall now) and never found reasonable shipping for one reason or another. Ultimately he decided it was not a coach that he was going to restore and put it on eBay. It sold for very little if I recall.

I do know of another Beau Monde that exists not on your list - a '54.

I used to wish I would find a Beau Monde myself, but I have come to realize that will probably never happen.

Tell me more about the 54 please. As far as I know only 1 54 was made and it was reported to be in a barn in Ohio in the 70s or 80s
