After seeing all the post that steve put up, i was wondering if anyone has seen in person any 54-57 oldsmobile pro cars. And if any one has any pictures of them. I have only seen some pictures in books. That is also another pro car group that makes my heart skip a beat.:thumb:

Get the defibrillator ready, here's a couple for you in no particular order.

There was a restorable '58 I went and looked at last year. Sold to Dennis Willis in MI. Although out of your specified year range, I'll provide pics if wanted.

We like pictures. We like pictures. No matter if they are of our favorite make of car or not.
Old or new is there any of us that can really get enough of procar pics?

Thanks for the pics!! And yes i think a defibrillator is needed. And attila if you want to post the pic of the 58 i would also like to see it. And if anyone hears about a 55 or 56 coming up for sale please keep me in mind. Rocky:thankyou2:

'58 forum thread with pics.

Attached below are the (small) initial pics that were sent.

'56 forum thread mentioned.

Also, this one may still be for sale in Ohio. Last I heard the asking price was 'too high' - although I was not privy to what that relative statement may be. I incorrectly assumed that it was the same Olds in the thread mentioned above. After looking, it does not appear so.

I need to know more about this car!

The photo of the 56 that Attila posted is the same car that I've posted before. It's the Fremont Speedway car BEFORE that god-awful orange and black paint job was brushed on.

(I thought what Jeremy may be thinking when I first saw this car a year ago and while it could fool one to thinking its a Dixie...The factory Comet pix which I came across surfing around November kinda solidifies my thoughts that it is a Comet. However.......I would love to see a high resolution 300dpi unresized scan of the below pic to study a lil more....Im scratching my head on something )

If anyone has The Professional Car, issue 111 1st quarter 2004 handy on pages 9 thruough 22 you will find my story on the Dixie Coach Company in that issue with numorus photos of Dixie's along with some build photos as well.

The license plate on the last car looks like the old Tennessee plates, if that means anything.

The rear glass decal is different from the rear glass decals on the "Comet" coaches..

I have a photo

If I can find it, I'll post a photo of a '56 Olds operated by the Bloomington, IL Fire Dept back in the '60s........a photo taken at an accident scene when I was there in college............as I remember, the Olds was replaced by a '66 GMC stretch=Suburban unit......?
