1949 part info

I found out the steering knuckle support on my 49 has a slight bend in it. its been this way since before I owned the car. It makes the camber set in at the top and cannot be adjusted out any farther. I had it suggested that it be heated up and bent back, but Im worried of the integerty if this is done, any opinions?
Any way does anyone have a part number for this (number 9 in the pic), and also for the knuckle/spindle (number 10), I need the passanger side, is the number the same for both sides, and is it an all Cadillac part, or CC only?
Thanks

To echo Mike, I would not advise heating and bending. From everything I understand, at least with heating springs to lower cars, it can alter the strength/properties of the metal. There are always guys that say they've been "doing it for years", but the guys that had a critical heat-treated part fail at speed aren't likely around to say otherwise! Not worth the risk in my book. Can't help with part numbers though, sorry.

john, that is the spindle, do not heat it at all! not safe after words. You have a couple of options , i bought a reproduction set of dropped spindles for my car ,just have not put them on yet 2" drop if you want to go that route. On these cars it is not commercial chassis only piece. production piece. I may have the part you need i got a front clip from off a 47 limo that got a stub frame at a rod shop just in case something happened to my car. the dropped spindles are made by "fat man fabrications" hope this helps

I didnt want to go the heating route either, sounded way too risky to me. I did find out that the left and right side are different, but thats all.
I have been driving the car for almost 10 years like that, so its not a big issue, and it hasent even wore the tires, i just dont like how the tire leans in a little. Most people dont even notice it.
