Excuse me, but earlier someone had posted this link:

http://www.264bell.com/38_gallery.htm

They were seeking information on or an identification for this attractive 1938 Buick ambulance. After several hours of research I can say with confidence
that this is a 1938 Eureka-Buick with a Chieftain ambilance body. Note the hignes on the rear side doors, the window shapes as well as that of the drip molding. These all match those of the various 1938 depicted in McPherson's Eureka book. I hope that this answers the question.

Nice looking ride, they are in my neck of the woods so im sure i should see it at some show, or state fair. They are usually there.

1938 Buick

My first pro-car at 15 years old (in 1962 before I knew what one was....) was a 1938 Buick Series 90 7 Passenger converted by the Fallbrook (CA) VFD to a Sedan-Ambulance. It was purchased new by the Berry-Bell Mortuary in Fallbrook (that's adjacent to Camp Pendleton) and given to the Fallbrook Fire Dept. in the early 50's. (*) Although it's now called Berry-Bell & Hall / Fallbrook Mortuary, Inc., it is still the (only) mortuary in town, and to my knowledge is still privately owned? When I was growing up in Fallbrook they had a nearly 100% Henney-Packard Fleet, with two exceptions, a 1953 Superior-Pontiac Service Car and a 1956 Cadillac 75 Family Sedan. MM
