1936 Ambulance ?

I was at a Car and parts Flea market over the weekend and saw this I asked if it was an Ambulance and he said yes a Fire Emergency...it was a 1936 Ford 1 1/2 ton he said the body was by "Proctor-Keele he said he had done the wookwork in back except for the floor was was orginal and it had wind up windows in the back door. he was asking $35.000 for it

does anyone know anything about this ?

Yeah, Proctor-Keefe it is. I saw this for sale on ebay a couple years ago. It's OK but the interior is, as he told you, not original, and any original interior parts are probably long gone.

I'd think someone would buy it as an interesting vehicle with the woodwork in the back. I guess the price scares 'em away.
