For sale is a very unique (and known to be one of two in existence) 1932 Henney Nu 3 Way Hearse. The car was built by Henney in Freeport, Illinois. Until 1935, Henney built their own coaches using various components from other automobile manufacturers of the day. The grill is from Lincoln; front fenders Dusenberg; Engine is a 332 cubic inch Straight 118 HP Lycoming (same as Cord). The coach was built for the The Kirk and Nice Funeral Home of Philadelphia. It changed hands a few times over the past 88 years moving to Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Ohio until eventually winding up at our family funeral home. The car underwent a complete body off restoration along the way. The plush royal blue interior is flawless. The casket table glides smoothly in and out of both sides of the coach. All glass is like new. Windows open and close with ease. The dashboard is original with all gauges functioning as they should. The dash even has a working clock built into it. The walnut trimming in the coach was fully refurbished and shows like new. Headliner and all curtains are flawless. The steering wheel is original and not cracked. The coach has two horns on it which both work. The running boards are perfect. The body is totally rust free and very straight. The chrome is impeccable and the engine compartment very clean. Cowl/Fire Wall like new. Tires are virtually new. With the exception of the front windshield frame which is showing deterioration, the coach is free of rust and any damage. The massive headlights are in pristine condition and have been perfectly aligned. Lenses intact. The bumpers are scratch and dent free. The car rolls very nicely. It is still operating on the original 6 Volt system. The car will require paint as the lacquer paint has developed patina and is lifting in certain areas. A unique and very rare example of Henney pride and quality. The '32 even has its own Silent Siren. This is an opportunity to own an extremely rare and valuable piece of American Funeral History.
