1931 S & S - help please

Just took delivery of a 1931 S & S hearse. Car seems to have most of the parts. I need a set of rollers and pins for the car and a new (used) hood ornament/radiator cap. Would also like pics to guide in the resto of the car. Any and all help appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the boards! My boss many years ago, Milton Hill, had a 1930 S&S Washington hearse, which sat in storage for some 30+ years. It was sold to this funeral home in Brazil, IN, who restored it not too long ago. They may be a really good start, because I doubt there were many significant changes between 1930 and 1931.

Congrats Jay. Did this S&S come out of Ohio? Looked at one in the mid-'90s about the same year that was (if I recall properly) in original green & black paint. Although located in a large barn of an eccentric in Macedonia, it had since sold and remained in Ohio. Mark Rodgers knows the current location and that the person who bought it hadn't done anything with it.

I distinctly remember the rear compartment smelling of formaldehyde.
