1930s Henney Motor Company Hearse "Casket Table Caster"

This sale is for a set of 4 "Casket Table Casters" by the Henney Motor Company of Freeport, Ill, invented by Edward Richter.
From the patents I've found they date to around 1934 and were probably in use until around the 1940s at least. I cannot find which model these went to.
I believe the general idea is these are mounted to some type of board which the coffin is then placed on and then slid into the hearse.
From reading the patent it makes it appear that most casters until this point were not low-profile or unidirectional and were very noisy. These casters were made to remedy that situation.

The circle inside the caster spins as does the wheel, so it offers it freedom of movement.

There is a fair amount of cosmetic wear especially to one caster as shown in the photo, it is scratched or gouged.
There is other general wear to the chrome such as pitting and scratches.
One of the wheels has a large surface rust spot as shown.
You should expect other general wear as well.
The casters are functional (see the video above).

I will include a DVD for your computer with the original PDF files of the patents with the sale.
They include information on the invention, not so much their use.
Adobe Acrobat will be required to open and read them.

If you have any questions please ask before purchase.

Ships same day if paid for before 12 PM EST.

Thank You
