1923 Model T hearse

I finally got around to checking out a hearse I heard about a year or so ago. It is a homebuilt creation starting with a frame, and completely scratch built based on the Precision miniatures 1:18 scale model T. They grabbed the calipers, upscaled the measurements and ended up with this. Turned out beautiful. Originally meant to be a Halloween prop, it is now taken to shows, driven in parades, and even been requested for funerals and a funeral home had it at a milestone event. (I also checked out a 47 Miller combo in the area too, but that's another story).

I let them know. The way it sounds they are not that interested in hearses, this started out just being a Halloween prop project that went well. We will see I guess.
I forgot to mention it was a one ton frame.

Ok, thanks, now I'm curious about what was used back in those days for waterproofing. I don't see how you guys endure that kind of c o l d , my butt would be back in the truck way sooner than thirty minutes. :bitterCold:

The paint is pretty waterproof. Its easy to venture out in the cold, we are used to it. I actually did wear pants that day, which is unusual, and had a light windbreaker on. Probably wouldn't have been as bad, but just got done checking out a ccar sitting in a open area just before that. Anything above 20s Im in shorts and a T (but of course I wouldn't spend all day out dressed like that, only hour or so. I love it, it hits 65 and the AC gets turned on. My gf was bundled all up though and freezing, so she migrated to the car sooner.
