A Mustang Hearse For Making Your Way To The Afterlife

by Chris Demorro on January 29, 2013

Different cultures have different traditions when it comes to sending their loved ones to the afterlife. Some cultures quietly reflect for hours or days at a time; others drink and laugh and remember the good memories. As of late, funerals seem to have taken a more custom approach, with people preferring to add a little flair with unique caskets or displays.

But for the Ford Mustang enthusiast, there is really only one way to be brought to your final resting place, and that’s a Mustang hearse. We came across a few pictures of a Mustang hearse that appears to call Mexico City home, but no other info. Which is a shame, and a bit of a shock, as you’d think a Mustang hearse would be in high demand in a little country called the U.S.A.

Instead, this Mustang has been caught out and about in Mexico City, and near as we can tell, it was a convertible GT that was stretched into a hearse. The body lines remind us a lot of a Dodge Magnum; you decide whether that is a good thing or not.

There looks to be a good four feet or more added to this Mustang to help it accommodate a casket. For the true pony car fan though, we can hardly think of a more appropriate final ride. While Lincolns and Cadillacs have often been casket carriers, this Mustang is really something different, without going over-the-top. We hope a goodbye burnout comes built into the rental price.

I dig it too !

"We hope a goodbye burnout comes built into the rental price."

That would be a sweet addition to the ride in a Mustang hearse I'd say !

It does look MUCH better than the 2013 options.

Maybe that's the ticket... to get some really great condition older cars and convert them to hearses since Cadillac has let us down in regards to dignity and class of the new so called hearses.

Times change and we get over it but in the mean time... let's have some fun and convert some vintage vehicles to hearses until they can get them right again.

I can't but I am sure there are some out there in PCS land who can photoshop us some cool hearses.

Lets see what you can come up with folks !

Let the designs come to life,

My dog didn't look at it and barf on the rug, so its a great improvement over the "Wonder and Keller" design school 2013. I would drive it and without embarrassment. The rear door however might be a challenge with a large casket piece but I'm sure the flowers would still fit inside.

WOW ! that is exactly what I wanted to see.

Cool old cars converted into procars.

That would be a perfect fit for the muscle car guys last ride !

Thanks !

Darren

I just don't buy that Cuda hearse being the real thing.
To my eyes, it simply looks too much like a Photoshop creation, especially as the straight side view makes it extra easy to meld two completely dissimilar cars together. A front or rear three-quarter shot is must to convince me this is an actual coach awaiting hire somewhere out there.

Im almost positive its photoshopped too. Darren was looking for different photoshopped creations, so thats why I posted it.
