We started the day with a cookout at CW Coach. Carl put some of us to work! We are just leaving U-Pull & Pay, heading to the sign museum.

Looks as though you all had a awesome time, the last picture is that what they call rutting,or marking thy space, thanks for sharing....

Crap! I forgot that was this weekend. I would have had someone grab me some trim off of one of the parts coaches. I can't get them to return phone calls or emails.

I had a great time Saturday with the group in Cincinnati. Carl's place is so fun to explore, you name it & he probably has it! Carl was VERY welcoming, he and his staff made us all feel welcome and showed us around CW Coach. The "parts room" is truly a sight to behold, as is his collection of vintage funeral cars and a newly aquired Superior hightop ambulance!
After Carl's cookout we toured the U-Pull & Pay junkyard. There's alot of work that goes into this style of junkyard. The "prep area" is where they drain ALL the car's fluids for safety, no flammable liquids allowed on the yard and this prevents any leakages onto the ground and keeps them on good terms with the EPA. All the cars are stored high off the ground and they are constantly rotating their stock of cars.
The sign museum was truly amazing! So much to see and take in. From the pictures Lee Ann posted it's hard to imagine the scale of this place. The replica town they built inside... those storefronts are over 2 stories high and several of the signs like the McDonalds neon are bigger than a house. I'll post photos I took with my camera soon, if you ever get the chance to go I highly recommend it. The signs are all donated and plaques are displayed with the signs to tell you the story behind them and who donated them. Many with photos of the signs "back in the day" when they stood in all their glory.
Dinner at Boston Market was good... except we had to eat outside on the dining tables because they were closing when we arrived. With the weather today being so threatening I headed home this morning. Thank you to Carl and everyone who attended to make it a very enjoyable trip!

Thanks for the extra photos of my recently aquired 1972 Superior Cadillac hightop ambulance I purchased from Carl a couple of weeks ago. It gets loaded enclosed carrier to Oceanside CA, next week! Cant wait..:)

Do you have the tires ordered for it yet, Ken?? Those black walls have to go immediately!

Larry Wilson showed up showed up around
1:30. He didn't make it in any pictures, but he took this one. (That's his car). As we were getting ready to leave Cincinnati this rainbow appeared. You could see it from end to end and there was a faint double rainbow beside it. Perfect ending to a fun weekend!
