2012 Ohio PCS Cookout

We just returned from the event in Bucyrus at Dwayne's new house. As with last year, Dwayne and his lovely daughter Caprice were very gracious hosts. The weather was pretty miserable, and one our members isn't with us anymore but still a good time was had by all. The food was great, the company even better. We laughed, told stories, and looked at the pro cars that were there (only 4, Brad's, Kevin's, Todd's and Tom's).

We even made a few new friends. Some new faces showed up. Darren brought Digger (fun lady) with him from Toronto, Rocky came down from Wisconsin, Shawn from Pennsylvania, Tom from Indiana, several members from Michigan, and of course the gang from Ohio. Hope I didn't forget anybody. The Enferno "Gentlemen's" Club is next door to Dwayne's house, so we couldn't resist taking that picture.

Here's a few photos:

Dwayne's cookout

Okay, you have seen the pictures of the cookout at Dwayne's. Now don't you wish you had been there? Although a bit on the chilly side (unless your name is Darren) a good time was had by all. Dwayne and Caprice's new house is a wonderful place for a procar meet.
Great food, great people and procars, it just don't get any better!
Thank you Dwayne and Caprice.
Mike

:thankyou2:

I'm sorry we couldn't make it to Ohio. Looks like a good time. Eight PCS members were able to get together at the Jackson, Michigan Fire Flea market though.

Dwayne and Caprice, thanks for another great cookout and for opening your home to everyone. Definitely worth the trip. I had a great time visiting with everyone who came - good to see all of you.
:thankyou2:

Thanks!

I have to agree--another great cookout with great food and really great company. Hats off to Dwayne and Caprice for doing this again, on top of just moving into his new house--it looked like he had been there for years, not a fresh move-in.

If you haven't been to one of these, you are missing out! As Russ said, one person in particular was missing, but the sun kept trying to peak through, so I think he was trying to show he was still there in spirit. Now, if we could just keep Rocky away from the cookies.....LOL.

Thanks again Dwayne :applause:

A few pics....

Sorry Todd, I forgot to get a pic of yours, I guess because it was parked in the front yard....

Thanks again, Dwayne for your hospitality and the terrific burgers on such short notice, with the new house and all. I enjoyed being able to spend a few minutes chatting too. I very much appreciate how much you extended yourself. Tom

A couple of Dwayne's cars

Very cool to see the 2 Victoria's sitting side by side. One question comes to mind though, Dwayne, where were your cars?

A huge thank you to everyone who came to the PCS cookout!
I enjoy doing this for anyone interested in the cars and the friendships they bring. As long as the interest is there I plan to keep this as an annual event the last Saturday of April every year. It is a lot of work and money, but seeing everyone enjoying themselves for the day and the interactions we all have really makes it worth the effort!
As for the "gentleman's club" next door... that place has been a thorn in the side of the community and shut down twice, seized by the sheriff's department, etc but apparently with a good lawyer it will open in the future once again... that sign showed up last Saturday morning. Those who attended teased me about it all day!

Josh, I have the 2 cars Brad pictured in the house garage and the '69 MM is in the pole barn along side the '67 Scotty camper. The Pinner service car and dune buggy are being hauled home from the old house today.

Dwayne, the sign next door is what is known as a "target rich environment"", you just gotta take shots at that.

Shawn, remember what I told you yesterday......."anybody can own a Cadillac, but a Seeburg??????". That thing is you my friend!!!!

Very true. For those of you who weren't there and are asking yourself, "What is a Seeburg?", here ya go. Dwayne has one in his garage that needs restored and Russ was trying to sell it to me all day. 1947 era I believe and fondly nicknamed "The Trashcan".

Dwayne and Caprice, thank you for your hospitality. I had a great time yesterday. So glad some of the Michigan Chapter members made the trip there. It was great to see the PCS members that I usually only see at the International Meet.

Thanks again to Dwayne and Caprice at opening their house to have the party, it was great to see every one at the party. Made it back home safe the 6 hour drive was worth every bit of it to have a chance to hang out with the pcs crew.
The pic of the group in the drive way was us checking out Dwaynes caddy with its new dual exhaust it sounded wonderfull, music to my ears.
Looking forward to getting the chance soon to hangout with everyone again.

It's "Say CHEESE" Darren

Thank you Dwayne and Caprice for hosting your get-together and making everyone feel so welcome. We all had a great time. It is so nice to get to see so many PCS family members more than once a year. Thank you Tom Hoczyk for going to extra mile to get out your beautiful 1976 S&S Cadillac Victoria Centennial. The cars ran beautifully on the roughly 400 mile round trip. Brad and I switched on the way home so we each got to put some pro-car miles on two cars in one day. I look forward to Bucyrus 2013!
