strange light

picked up this set of lights and housing. I'm guessing they came off a auction some were my buddy attended and won a 1.00 box at.

the sealed beams have cast glass lens. but they are fluted to cast the beam to one side. the bulb is marked top right and top left on opposite sides. there is only one post but the back side is a steel cup with a hook tab on one side to bit into the housing for a ground. and they do light up on 6 volts. they are tractor work lights of field lights if you must. but the housing and rings and bulbs are the same size as the 53. now if they were just red I would have it made.

That is what red glass paint is for....

if only they had some that would last as long as it take to put it on. one could cut the tip off the end. then put a red led in the hole and no one would be the wiser as you could not see the led threw the lens. having to make those choices is down the road. I thing the reds off the Harly police bike are the same size if I remember right
