removing weather stripping

I'm in the process of removing my weather stripping. I want to clean it down to the primer and then re-paint part of the door jamb (so orange meets orange and white meets white). I've scrapped it with a razor blade but there is still a buildup of glue and some rubber left. Any hints on how to remove the remaining gunk? Thanks for any help

3M Adhesive remover from local auto body paint store or Griot's. Use in a well ventilated area and wear nitrile gloves. Leave the gloves and cleaning cloth outside so you do not have a a combustion issue.

or a little lacquer thinner will do the job also. keep the raze blade handy and you may have to resort to a scotch pad also. the glue is some tough stuff.
