Be a good project for the Ed Renstrom collection of Pontiac's.. I always am amused by the words "ran when parked".. I often wondered why people don't ever post, "ran when wrecked" or "ran before it stopped running"?

Looks to be as complete as you could find. Can't read the script on the fender looks to be superior.

The last of the strait eights. Two things the trim behind the side door looks Cadillac, and it has a clock and AM radio. Yet the cheap base steering wheel. Looks like an easy project.

You're right, Ed. That is indeed a 1954 Superior-Pontiac

Default More info

I found more info on this same vehicle from "Desert Classics" back in, in believe, 2013. It does state that it is a Superior. Few more pics as well.

This Mayfair blue and Winter white 1954 Pontiac Superior Chieftain Eight 5 door commercial ambulance is a fairly complete body and rolling chassis ready to be restored or customized. The body has solid and straight western desert sheet metal, except here is rust around the left rear wheel well about the skirt. The windshield is good and the rear barn door glass is broken. There is a good used rear door replacement glass. The rear side "Ambulance" glass and etching are good. The top emergency beanie flasher is missing. The left roof red flasher light lens is broken. The tail light lenses are broken. The hood hinges are bent. There are small dents in the grill. The right parking lens is broken and the adjacent bumper bar is cut. The right outside mirror is gone. The interior is all there. There are add-on switch holes in the left dash. The floors are solid. The rear Superior ambulance setup is all there. . The inline eight cylinder L-head 268 CID motor, radiator and three speed manual column shift transmission are all there. The hood is stuck so there are no engine compartment photos at this time. Here is your chance to restore or customize a very scarce 54 Pontiac ambulance. Please call (406) 318-0270 for details about this restorable classic 1954 Pontiac project car. For sale $4,500.
