Newman's Ambulance Mobile, AL

While visiting my son in Mobile Terri and I ran across the Newman's Ambulance service. They had these beauties sitting out front.

The 1967 Miller Meteor Cadillac, used to belong to Lucille and me. We bought it from the original owners, the borough of South Hackensack. South Hackensack sold the ambulance to us at a town auction in 2008. We did lots of cosmetic work to it, had it mechanically gone through, put new tires on it and drove it to the PCS Int'l Meet in Mount Laurel, NJ. We enjoyed that car!

Did you catch the name on the Pontiac? Did you get a side shot of it? I like seeing a service that embraces it's history. Thanks for sharing

Newman's Downsized Ambulance

Too bad they lost this one, I believe, in a fire. Photo from Facebook, not sure who to credit for this one.

Does anyone know the year of this car, and where it originally served. It is very similar to my 1978 Superior ambulance. Mine originally served in Canada at a hospital, and later on it served the Copper River EMS in Alaska.
