Ambulance operation - 1935

I guess the secrets to the success of a funeral home's ambulance operation were to (a) use a straight ambulance instead of a combination and (b) make all of the calls on a COD basis! Sounds simple to me...

Oh, you missed the other important parts:
(c) let the police patrols handle the indigent patients (who can't afford to pay), and
(d) never transport a contagious case.

I'd refer back to the thread about the luxury ambulance in NY. Not such a new idea after all, is it?
